Today, ie, the 12th of June is marked internationally as the Day against Child Labour.

Let us join hands, pray and work together for abolishing this cruel social evil. Many children are robbed of their childhood and innocence by working in restaurants, hotels, matchbox and firecracker factories, road work and so on.

The Sunday School movement which was begun by Robert Raikes, was actually a response to the horrid condition of children working in the mines and factories.
